My M-gun shot Noel Edmonds - on his Suck and Blow Challenge - My Big Black Spider shot the crew. Being a great fan of Noel Edmonds and the Late Late Breakfast Show (and all things nutty) when Noel sent out the Challenge to do something different with a domestic vacuum cleaner, I jumped at the chance to once again show off my flair to excel and make things REALLY work. Again I offered more than they expected and developed and prototyped THREE ways to use a vacuum cleaner. The spider was a normal vacuum cleaner effectively turned into a high powered lottery ball machine with a barrel that made it an automatic multi ball shot gun. I took the idea further by devising a Hand Held version and also the way to produce it from stuff found around the house :- 2 Cardboard toilet roll tubes, - 2 strong paper cups, - 1 Large empty washing powder box, - some sticky tape, Just like in Blue Peter - I made A complete hand held gun and several stages of the making up process and took them to the show. The show used BOTH the above. The hand held gun was gaffer taped to one of the shows hand held cameras that went on to shoot Noel after the spider. I had first made an M-Gun from a large Quality Street tin but it was TOO good and looked and sounded just like the Tommy guns in the old movies.
